2. Our Services
We provide credit assistance services, which include:
- Suggesting or assisting you to apply for a particular credit product
- Assessing your finance needs and eligibility
- Preparing and submitting credit applications to lenders on your behalf
- Negotiating credit terms with lenders
- Providing general information about finance products
We work with a panel of lenders including banks, non-bank lenders, and specialist finance providers. The lenders we work with, and the products available, may change from time to time.
3. How We Are Paid
When a credit application we submit on your behalf is approved and settled, we typically receive a commission from the lender. The commission may be:
- An upfront commission, a percentage of the loan amount at settlement
- A trail commission, ongoing payments from the lender over the life of the loan
Commission rates vary by lender and product. We will provide you with specific commission disclosure on request or as required by law before you proceed with any application.
In some circumstances, we may also charge you a broker fee. This will always be disclosed to you upfront and in writing before you commit to using our services.
4. Our Obligations to You
As a credit intermediary, we are required to:
- Act in your best interests
- Assess whether a credit product is not unsuitable for you based on your requirements and objectives
- Provide you with this Credit Guide
- Provide you with a credit proposal disclosure document before proceeding with an application
- Handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy
5. What If You Have a Complaint?
If you have a complaint about our services, please contact us first. We have an internal complaints handling process and aim to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), our external dispute resolution scheme.
